Dreamweaver to Joomla Site

Three months ago I was reading and trying to learn everything about Dreamweaver for my first website. Ebooks, video tutorial and books, almost all media for learning. I am a fast learner ahem! after a month I got my first website up and running with some items subject to revisions. Content and layout updates were almost a breeze for me as I was having 4 pages site that time.

Here I am right now. I currently have 10 more pages.

So how would I update it? Now I feel the pain of sitting in-front of my computer just to have my site update and create new posts. This is the time I started looking for CMS. Then I found Joomla! Below are my requirements.

JTag SlideShare - PowerPoint Online

Last week I had an online demonstration to one of our prospected client.
Since they are just prospect I decided to do the product demonstration online to save travel, hotel and personnel resources. JoomlaTag SlideShare made it happened.

So I needed to make an online demonstration to two remote sites. Of course they must see my demonstration in real time and hear my voice too while I am doing demonstrations and instructions. I have my JoomlaTag SlideShare for my slides presentation and skype for voice communication, isn't simple?

By the way, following are the functionality of JoomlaTag SlideShare:

  • Display presentation from slideshare.com on your website by simply copying and pasting the link of the presentation on slideshare.com

  • Create categories of presentation to display

  • Display series of presentation per category

  • Let users upload presentation to your website using Slideshare.com to host the presentations

  • Configure the display size of the presentation

  • You retain all the functionalities of the Slideshare player and able to move forward and backup on the presentation and play the presentation on full screen.

  • Adjust the number of thumbnail to display on a page


  • An hour before the demonstration I sent them the link to my site (sorry I can not share it here as it is for official use only). Demonstration lasted for 3 hours without any hiccups or what so ever with regards to my demonstration.

    I received a lot of appreciation and congrats from my colleagues after the demonstration. I actually set a new standard for the company in doing this kind of online presentation.

    WebSite LOGO Design

    Through it all I thought that ONLY the content is the hardest part in website building.
    LOGO is also hard.

    After my content now its the logo. I did not focus on this little details because I was thinking of building the whole website first before creating my logo hoping that the whole website content will give me a good logo design. I was very wrong.

    At the middle of my content creation I already started asking for a logo design, after two weeks I still don't have it. Not that easy huh!

    Now for me this is one of the hardest part. My content is in good hand with my Joomla components that it helped me handle all my content and even my layout.

    Anyone wants to help me with my LOGO?!

    Content is KING - NOT easy to make One

    I must accept it, Content is the hardest part on website building.

    I've been struggling with my first website on its content. Probably only 30% of the whole website content I've created and still struggling on 70%.

    I sometimes thinking of why not make a website about Joomlatag and its JTAG Ticketing & Helpdesk System For Joomla as I am pretty familiar with. I cannot wait to use this system on my own website.
